My name is Shahin Merchant and I am the owner and operator of Raanya Studios. I’m a married mother of 2 wonderful daughters, 9 years and 21 years. In fact, my older daughter Selina, also helps me run Raanya.
Born in Bombay, India, I have, from a very young age, been familiar with the ancient art of threading and henna. After emigrating to the United States more than 20 years ago, I was unable to find a establishment that not only knew how to design perfect eyebrows or create beautiful henna tattoo designs but also understood the value and importance of pampering its customers.Let’s face it, when we women (and men) go to a beauty or hair salon, it is our time to escape from the daily grind of city life. As a consumer, I love to be pampered, whether I go to get my hair or nails done or have my eyebrows designed.
And I’m sure that you feel the same way.
I decided to start Raanya so that my extended family of friends will have a place where they will be pampered and also made to look beautiful.I sincerely hope that you will too will become part of that extended family and allow me the chance to treat you like I would like to be treated: Royally!
